Dad and I were on the Sea Hawk (http://www.njseahawk.com) today. Capt. Mike and his two mates worked their butts off to get us into the bass. The bass would not bite, but the blue fish did. Dad caught 4 blues with 2 bite offs, I caught 6 blues with 2 bite offs. The blue fish bite did not turn on until late in our trip. Capt. Mike stayed out late to get us into the fish and make all on board happy. Even if we did not catch bass, I was out fishing with my dad and we both had a great time. What more could a guy ask for?
Thank you Capt. Mike and crew for a great day and we will be back soon.
PS the mates drew a number out of a hat for the pool since no bass were caught, I WON!!$$$
It was enough to pay my fare and dad's fare. BONUS

I am hearing reports of stripers in the Manasquan area. These fish should be up your way soon.

Good try! Blues aren't so bad and like you said you were out fishing with your dad and you won the pool ;D. Funny how the bite is so hot for a while and then completely gone...guess that is fishing.
