I learned something new today also! Good thing I haven't been out tuna fishing, I would have worked it like a "hammer" jig thud rgmn.

There are tons of ways to jig and work any jig. this is one that is successful. but it has to work for you.

Me too! Last time I was out for BFT I was jigging the butterfly exactly like a hammer jig. No wonder I didn't get any hits!

Nick, were you guys out a month or so ago tuna jigging when the big freighter Georgetown was anchored on the grounds? If so, the Saltwater Sportsman Magazine was cracking off shots of your crew jigging and slamming tuna. Cool hooked up photos etc...There was a yellow boat along side us and the photographer was just firing away shots of you. if so, I'll get some photos of your boat for you.

Great vidio I was tryin it with a tuna chunkin rod last year and was not doing as well as the guys next to us ,now im getting one of these lighter outfits to get the lure action as I think ??? thats the problem
