Title: Eric Brachman Charter 8-7
Post by: Angela Rose Charters on August 08, 2007, 10:29:43 PM
8-7-07
Angela Rose Charters hosted the Eric Brachman Charter with Tommy, Brian, Brett, and Lara who returned this year to double up on some fluke action. Started out drifting on the Sea Girt reef which turned out to be   s  l  o  w! We made the decision after our first drift to head inshore. A great choice as 3 keepers and 10+ shorts came up on the first drift. We spent most of the morning fishing along the beach just north of the Manasquan Inlet. Squid and Spearing dressed the hooks and teased another 50+ short fluke and a total of 11 keepers up to 21 inches. We did have our fare share of skates to battle thru but it was worth it to stick around.

OK OK OK...

SO Here we are at the end of the trip...

My buddy owns dock outfitters in Sea Side, so I call him up and I mention that I am on a million bunker here and if he wants me to, I can load up pretty good.... ;D So...

Kevin and myself,(Kevin running the boat) pull up on the pod a couple of times and me throwing the net, couldn't score AND couldn't figure out why... ??? SO

I decided to change from Starboard to Port and back to Starboard... Kevin runs up on the pod, perfect driving Kevin, BTW, and I take this perfect throw, 9 foot awesome circle, spread out nicely... and she lands... and sinks... and sinks... and sinks..... and Kevin comes in with my ultra light with a bunker snag already on and tries to snag the SINKING net with 100 plus bunker... YEAH that lasted all of 10 seconds before the line poped... Stupid Idiotic me, I forgot to tie off the net to the cleat...SO

I am out of a 3 month old, perfect 9 foot by 1 1/2 inch hole net!!! :(

Kevin.. YOUR FIRED!!!! :o

lol I'll see ya at the dock tonight TT^
