Title: New to the site
Post by: PNuke on June 19, 2012, 09:58:10 AM
Hey everyone, been fresh water fly and spin fishing for years and am just looking to getting started with surf fishing. For my first fathers day I got a nice little present, a brand new surf rod and reel! Looking forward to bugging you all for all the information I can get. I'll most likely be fishing at Spring Lake and LBI simply because that's were I go already to bum around.
Thanks

Nice present and welcome!

There are number of surf guys here who will have no problem helping you get your groove on. Just search the forums and/or ask a question.

Welcome aboard PNuke,

This site is also one of the best sites for its friendliest.  Our information flows freely about the sport we love the best, fishing.  We might not give out exact spots but the reason for that is simple...The fish don't stay in one place so why give out today's info if you know for a face that the fish probably have moved on.  But with that said, the techniques and hints and tips are priceless.  One day I would like to put the combined fishing years together and see what number that would be.

Again Welcome Aboard.

Paul

Hey Paul. It's Chet's son Rob. Finally made it to the board! I was wondering what your screen name was on here. I'll be down in LBI for a week in July. Maybe we could meet up and you could show me the ropes. Hope all is well.

Welcome to the site.
Do you fish around Chatham at all. My wife has to go there for work. Well be there for a week in april. Are there any decent Surf fishing spots you might have had luck with? I dont want to spot burn. Im only there for a week. PM me.
Enjoy the site.
