Hi everyone
I am new in these waters and will like to meet good fisherman that can help and stir me the right direction. I would like to take my dad fishing for porgies before it get to cold. He is a cancer patient so we did not have chance to put the boat in the water until now. We boat out of the Manasquan inlet. We will be going fishing this morning and try some spot. Any info will be great happy Fishing everyone!!! grtn slt

slt Welcome to the site
You will love it here t^
For now head north to the rocks and reef--Porgies are all over that area--just find some hard structure and anchor over it. Clam and squid is working well.
Heading down for stripers in a few--go a 2.5 hour ride
Good luck

Try the red church area just north of Asbury. About 28 to 32 feet depth it's not too far off the beach. Do you have a good chart with wrecks and rubble piles on it? Keep an eye out for an an anchored boats they will be bottom fishing for Seabass/ porgies
