Title: Trolling LBI
Post by: jarhead on October 18, 2007, 05:09:28 PM
Trolled from the tip of Holgate today up to the Red tower, had three hook ups, ALL SEA ROBINS on stretch 25's. ???, go figure.
Never had that happen before, anyway no other fish except small blues.

Tried chunking with peanut bunker for some stripers, no luck water temp still 70 degrees, had my share of smooth doggies 5hrug.

Just have to wait for the water temp to drop some.

Bait fish are still so thick.
We have a lot of competition, hopefully they are fattening up for us though.

Maybe someone can post a good recipe for sea robins.  Seems there are a lot of them out there right now.  Take some of the pressure off of the sea bass fishing.  TT^
