Title: shrewsbury rocks nj stiped bass
Post by: Nickdeufemia on September 09, 2014, 08:35:42 PM
me and my dad are accustomed to surf fishing for stripers in the fall but this season we have the boat back in water. we have heard that the shrewsbury rocks would be a good place to start. If so what part of the rocks is the best for stripers and jigging bait..etc??

Welcome! It varies year to year but, the area of the Rocks is usually pretty good. From what I've seen over the last few seasons is N seems to be hot for the spring and S for the fall run.

Keep an eye on reports, make friends (here), put your time in and network!

Welcome to the site.

Nick, welcome! That general area can hold the stripers. As mentioned, watch the reports, get out there and make some marks. The "fleet" of boats will give you good indication where the fish are. Watch for the birds feeding on the water, always a good sign of life. Good luck to you...
