Are they used for strippers? What are they supposed to mimic, eel?

Yes Joe.  They are excellent striper baits.  Weakfish too.  The 6" are a great all around size.  When they are feeding on bigger bait, the 10" BKDs are the ones to have (for tuna too)!

The fish never told me what they think they look like, but I imagine they imitate baitfish to some degree.

BTW, I will be putting a 10" BKD Kit together soon.  Just waiting on the Plano boxes I ordered to arrive.   t^

That's the trouble with fish now days, TIGHT LIPPED. I would think it looks like sand eels in the right color.
