Title: Throttle control
Post by: Still Running on May 21, 2015, 10:07:20 AM
Anyone know why the new outboard control levers no longer lock in neutral?

My new Yamaha control and my buddy’s new Merc control are both the same way.

You can feel the detent, but very easy to go past neutral.

Seems like an accident waiting to happen.

So you wreck your gear case and have to give them more $$$$ to fix it. lol

my vintage 1992 Yamaha 704 control does not, and never did, lock in neutral either.
