Finally was able to get back out to the deep for some tuna fishing yesterday. Got the nod late in the day Wednesday we were going. Headed out in some weird seas, big and tight swells made it a bit bumpy. Arrived to hear that some boats were picking away with one or two fish and some shark in the area. Our first hit felt good, peeled some line, I made some ground on retrieving line and felt some popping, saw the fish at the surface and a MAKO having lunch with it. Trolled quite a while and pending storms had us move and started marking nice bait. Had a football size tuna jump up and crash a spreader, safely released. A short while later came tight on a nice fish and boated it for the ride home...Good day going 3 for 3 on hook ups. Thanks to Capt Joe for riding out the pending storms we were facing
