Fished opening day and today for fluke. Opening day was windy and a little cool with a picky bite. The bites were good but not plentiful. I had 3 shorts and 3 cocktail blues over a couple hours. Today started off colder, windier and fishing was worse, but there was a good 15 minute period where I got 4 fish in 5 casts. 3 were shorts and one was about 19 inches safely released. Overall it ended up being a really good day for the beach. I'm surprised there's this much small fluke around and that they're biting the gulp so hard already, last May was not like this at all. I think this late spring/early summer fluke will be even better then last years. Here's a pic and some of my first gopro footage.
