First fishing trip of the year for me on Sunday with Capt Joe. It was great to see Bob G, Kevin and Pete aboard as well.
We went south from the inlet and started fishing in a stiff NW wind. My first hook up had some weight to it and took a little bit to bring boatside. Turned out to be part of the reef. A 4' piece of rusted rebar. ;D
We did catch fish too. Sea bass, mackerel, and fluke (boxing about 6-7 keepers). And, as luck would have it, I took home the pool!
It was really great to get back on the water after about 9 months of being stranded on dry land. Hoping to get out a few more times this year. Thanks Joe. t^

Rod, mostly Sundays and Mondays. But I almost always have Katie those days, so it's tough to get out. I may be taking some time off after Labor Day. Trying to find a week I can take off in October/November.
