Title: NJ Fishing & Boating Weather Outlook Weekend Edition: Aug 12-13, 2017

Again, another mixed weekend for weather and water conditions. Saturday will have rain, showers, and thunderstorms throughout the day with chances decreasing into the overnight. Some thunderstorms will be strong to severe on Saturday. Sunday will be mostly dry with a chance of showers at night. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with lows in the 50’s to 70’s. Water conditions will be cautious on Saturday and good on Sunday for inshore, but borderline to cautious for midshore to offshore. Surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious the good to borderline with Low to Moderate Risk of Rip Currents. Water temperatures are steady in the 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 4-9/15.

A warm front is forecast to lift into our region from late tonight into Saturday morning. A cold front from the northwest is expected to arrive on Saturday night. Weak high pressure is anticipated to influence our weather on Sunday and Sunday night. Low pressure is forecast to pass of the Middle Atlantic coast
on Monday night with another cold front expected on Tuesday night. High pressure should follow for much of the balance of the work week.

There is an area of invest in the Atlantic that will be moving northeast along the East Coast. However, it should stay well out to sea, but needs to be watched over the next few days.
