Fort Lauderdale Fishing with Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat and Capt. Zsak

Daman Clark and his identical twin children ages 6, Nathan and Joshua, from Canada chartered the Top Shot Sportfishing charter boat team to do some deep sea charter boat sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Seeing double for a four hour charter was a lot of fun – Joshua and Nathan – even Daman had a difficult time telling them apart.  The twins were very inquisitive about everything – What are we going to catch?  What are we using for bait?  How far are we going offshore to fish? Etc. etc. etc.  They told stories of their fishing experience in Canada catching Northern Pikes.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore.  We started out trolling with two plainers down – one #6 and the other #8 – both with sea witches in front of double hooked Bonito strips.  For surface baits we went with Bonito strips.

It did not take long for the action to start.  Mark, our mate, was putting out the 4th bait when one of the plainer rods bent over.  It was either Nathan or Joshua who was our first angler – your guess is as good as mine.   I mentioned to Mark to leave the rods in the rod holders as a safety precaution.  Nathan or Joshua reeled in their first catch – a nice Kingfish.  From there the action never slowed up – as one fish was caught after the other while Daman recorded the action.  The boys caught a total of 13 Kingfish, six Shorts and two Barracudas – one measuring 48”.

It was time to head back to the dock.   The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.  Daman said he fished in Hawaii, and in the first half hour he hooked up with a Blue Marlin and threw the hook – after that 7 ½ hours without a bite - this charter was more enjoyable for him and the boys.   I thanked Daman and was happy that they had a good time in this fishing charter.
