Title: MI stripers
Post by: capt ric on November 28, 2017, 10:33:28 AM
good fishing south of inlet in 65 ft yesterday just inside the dredge and a little south, no fish were larger than 36 inches and marks for bait and fish were scattered, haven't been posting much because reading about great fishing on charter boats without any specific info to help the rest of us is not very helpful, board seems to have turned into an advertising vehicle this year

A nice report Capt Ric, I do miss the reports of past members like KezSr, who was an avid fisherman and clearly enjoyed sharing his daily trips, I still enjoy reading hunter and Salty Dogs trips and take prisoners jaunts around the state of new jersey( he's got some miles in!) ,not sure why reports are down because you can see upwards of 100 members checking out the site at different times?...,i have gotten some good info from Down Deep, has pointed me in the right direction and saved me some gas money ;.....and I have found that a p.m. ( personal message) usually gets a positive response...wish I  had the time to get out and fish everyday so I could post a report but that's still a few years away God willing! chrz

I think more people have taken to FB groups. It's extremely easy to use and even easier to share between the various different groups. The sponsors are what keep the forums free, so it's only right to allow them to plug their business. I don't mind the advertising reports as they do tell us if the fish are still there. Next season I'll have plenty more (hopefully successful) reports as I hope to have the boat in the marina as soon as they will allow. And yes, I've racked up plenty of miles this year. lol. One thing I can tell you for sure is, I've found more awesome places to eat than I have landed fish on my excursions.  It's always an adventure t^

Thanks for the report.  I went togging with the guys yesterday and it was slow.  Maybe 10 keepers for the ten of us along with some Seabass and  Porgies.
