Title: 4/14 evening Union Beach
Post by: Takes Prizoners on April 14, 2018, 09:59:30 PM
Well, at least I know that my Stormr jacket is warm. lol. Unfortunately with the conditions, damn near everyone fishing the bayshore area was in this spot. Didn't want to be that guy who sets up 10ft from the next guy so my friend and I snuck into an open spot. Soaked 1 rod with a clam until a couple guys next to us cleared out.  Then I went to work with shads, SP minnows, and a little neck popper for good measure. No hits during the few hours we were there though we did see a few fish come in. Even a keeper weakfish. Cops must have really wanted a fishing report since they kept circling the block. lol. Even saw a cooler getting check by someone. Packed it in at 9 and headed home.

That was some front that came thru in the afternoon. Must have been tuff casting with wind. There is an amazing amount of fish and bait in the bay. It’s just the beginning, nice report, tight lines  chrz

We were off Edmunds ave so the wind was at our back. That's why the spot was crowded. I was watching the AHM Webcam all morning and it looked good. Forgot to check it again before we left. When we got to Laurence harbor for bait, visibility was complete crap. Lol
