Title: New boat owner looking for teacher / captain - Manasquan River, NJ

Looking for teacher / captain to help me operate my new boat. i.e. docking / anchoring strategies, navigating bridges, inlets and inshore / offshore waters in various weather conditions. May also periodically utilize for captaining on fishing trips for friends and family.

Preferably this person will have a captains license, experience navigating the Manasquan River and inshore/offshore fishing grounds. Local fishing experience preferred. Boat is a 32ft walkaround with twin outboards. Brand new with no operating issues (that I know of!)

That's Awesome clp   There are so many people that buy boats and just jump in them and go.  A good start is going out on another boat in that area..  And Love your Screen Name t^

Welcome! That is very responsible on your part. Trial by fire on a boat can be scary and dangerous.

I have been running out of Manasquan for a while. I sent you an email.

Hey Everybody,

Thanks for support and kind words... I wasn't sure what kind of reaction I would get here but I have spoken to a couple of guys who want to help so I am going to run with that for now.
Anyway.. This seems like a good group of people so I'll be back. Thanks again.
