Just got back from Betty & Nicks in Seaside Park. Bass are starting to be caught but you better know your water and keep a keen eye out for bait. It is spotty at best for now but it is a beginning.
Bait is a problem if your looking for clams. The boats are still not out full time yet and what they are hauling in are not great both in size and amount. John said he got a small order in this weekend and threw most out. Most shops have frozen clams or salted clams pick your lot from among them.
Stop in and say HI to John and his Mom Beth who run the luncheonette. Boy do they have some great food there. They are open for breakfast and lunch. So stop by and fill up your bait box and your belly as well.
Plus congratulate them on their 50th year anniversary. Way to go guys, your store is great.
