The Gambler's half day fluke trips have been progressively getting better. Better numbers of keepers and more action. We are able to keep sea bass again, too, which is a big help for putting tasty fillets in the coolers. We had a couple fluke close to 6 lbs today. It should continue to improve with the warming waters.
Our night trips have been great. Lots of ling, small to large --Capt Bob's favorite fish to eat! There are also plenty of small bluefish and a few mackerel right on the same grounds. If someone targeted the blues, I'm sure they could catch quite a few just cast and retrieving a lure near the surface. Also, along with the ling and blues, we have seen an occasional flounder or sea bass.
Don't miss out! Now is the season!
