With week after week of terrible weather I am considering a Musk Ox hunt:

Not exactly sure how this Florida native would take 'cooler' weather:

Would take this to camp:

Could possibly be a 'little' different from Florida:

Next up:

Three hours later:

A long, very long, shot:

Talk about a trophy:

Looks exciting!

Could be a 'little' on the chilly side..

This just in from one of my friends who has actually harvested a Musk Ox...

"Find a good guide (Hunter and trappers association) Get a bonifide arctic survival suit. Don't fool with the stuff from Cabelas or Bass pro Shop. Not that they are bad you need to be able to survive at 60 to 80F below zero. Get your guide to have you a pair of Wolf skin gloves made. Be very careful on riding dog sled or on the snow machines as you can get frostbite in a second.. Also be very careful to not drink anything hot, you can crack your teeth real easy. Keep a muffler (scarf) around your face so you don't frost bite your lungs. If you want to be a hero carry your guide fresh oranges that you just picked and a carton of Salem cigarettes. Seem the Hudson Bay Trading company can't supply them fresh and the Eskimoes smoke like a chimney. I carried my elephant gun a .470 double rifle which did a nice job, you will probably be shooting between 50 and 100 yards. This is very important that you flush what ever weapon you take with white gas you want NO oil. Everything will freeze solid, I had a bottle of Vodka freeze solid, they put a additive in their skydos as the gas turns to gel. One last thing there are some old bush pilots and some bold bush pilot but there no old bold bush pilots. At the top of the world I would recommend Willard who owns Aklak air."

Sounds a 'little' chilly!
