Title: Fishing LBI this saturday...
Post by: AKscuba713 on October 30, 2008, 09:09:53 PM
Im heading to LBI early saturday morning (leaving cherry hill at 6AM) and hitting the sand in hopes of my first striper.... Any suggestions on which end to head to?

I may try and fish the incoming tide/outgoing with clams on the beach, then head to the inlet and give that a shot with some plugs or soft plastics. May spend the whole day there...

Anyone want to meet up and fish for the day? I could use some guidance as I haven't been fishing the beach at LBI as much as I have the inlet.

I haven't fished the sand in LBI in many years.  If you're looking for leads you can stop into Surf City B&T (4th and the Boulevard) for some honest info.  Also you can log onto www.lbift.com (http://www.lbift.com).  That's the website for their annual fall surf tournament.  You can look up a list of all the fish that have been weighed in and where they were caught.  So that may give you a general starting point.

Hope that helps.  Good luck! t^

Sounds good to me... I may end up heading for the delaware bay on a boat but who knows. Thanks for all the tips so far! If all else fails I love bluefish....
