Great bay 4/25
« on: April 25, 2009, 06:11:56 PM »
Headed to Tuckerton at about 5:30 with my brother in law Dave. Picked up a couple of dozen fresh clams at the Chum Bucket and we were headed out by 7:30.

Soaked clams with the fleet at Graveling point...zero.

Headed up the mouth of the Mullica and soaked more clams along the sedges...zilch.

Trolled plugs back to Graveling...nada.

Soaked more clams at the head of the bay near the Intracoastal...zip.

Admitted defeat and headed in. nosmly

Did you chum at all? I saw some good reports on Scotts website today. There were reports of several drum being caught the past 2 days. With my kids playing softball and baseball I am sloooooowly getting my boat ready to dunk.
This too shall pass.
