Hunter 2, Cinco de Mayo Striper's
« on: May 05, 2009, 04:32:31 PM »
Went out Solo this morning around 8:30 a.m. Unfortunately the wind was blowing against the tide. I set up in Raritan bay and started chumming clams and 2 poles on slider sinkers. The tide was moving very slow which was not a good sign. The bass started coming aboard pretty quick. Then the Blues were hitting the Clams pretty good. The tide went slack around noon and I called it a day.
Total Bass, was 12 with only one keeper, and total Bluefish was 14 with another 6 that bit the hook off of my leader.

I figure I had around 117 bass in the last 8 days come aboard. That is very good for me compared to the last couple of seasons. The Blues started picking up towards May 2. :P
I have not spotted any Bunker schools in the area either.      Best of luck,  Eddie chrz
