Topwater bluefish action--Hunter 2-- Friday may 15,2009
« on: May 15, 2009, 08:25:41 PM »
We only had 3 hours to Spare so we went to the Keyport flats to play with the yellow eyed demons for awhile. With Steve (mass baster) and Chris (cashin) aboard we anchored up and tossed some topwater plugs and had a blast. We had major problems with the Tsunami wire leaders because they failed in every way possible. They broke in ways that leaders should never break. We lost around $60 bucks worth of plugs because of the inferior leaders. rgmn rgmn  we landed around 50 Bluefish and called it quits due to dinner plans, We leave at 5am Saturday morning for some striper action. Give us a call on vhf 68. Or try my cell for info or to relay a hot bite. Thanks,  Eddie t^ TT^ chrz

Nice catch!

Sucks you lost plugs because of leaders breaking.  I would call Bimini Bay/Tsunami and let them know.  They seem to stand behind their products and make good when something goes bad on their end.

Nice trip and catch. Bummer about the leaders not holding up.
Good luck on the striped ones tomorrow.  t^

I contacted them once before about a bad lure, Another member said the same thing that they stand behind their products. They never responded to my email.. 5hrug 5hrug

Eddie,

Good luck tomorrow. They're still taking clams but a good source says they are turning on to the bunker.  I didn't have the bunk to verify today.

Good luck tomorrow guys.  Down south it is almost 50 / 50 on the change over from clams to bunker.  It is always good to have both this time of year.  I will be setting up with both in the AM.  One sign at least on the beach is the lack of clam shells showing up.  The blows have not been strong enouigh to mess the beds up for a while.

Happy Catching
