5-21 troll down the beach
« on: May 21, 2009, 12:10:04 PM »
hit the water around 730 to find nice conditions to start.

went out barn inlet to find bunker right way on the north side.

set up the trolling outfit at the pods and went north in 30-40 feet of water.(about 1.5 miles off the beach)

marked lots and lots of bait in the water, but with 3 miles of trolling no takers. only came across a couple marks of someone hovering around 1-2 feet off the bottom. tried white bunker spoon, fl. green stretch, and red/white rapala.

all the pods we came across today had nothing on them that i could tell, 'cept for a few seagulls.

water temp was hovering around 55.8, and the air temp sure felt like it. started to get a little snotty out, so we called it a day and enjoyed the rest of the trip in.
