05/25 Atlantic Star PM Report
« on: May 25, 2009, 07:56:29 PM »
Jason and I did the afternoon trip today. Good crowd but not railed. Fished mostly between Officer's Row to the point of the Hook. With stops at the Coast Guard ledge & Bug Light. Also made 1 drift off the Terminal Channel and the top of the Reach.

A lot of shorts and by shorts I mean real short as in the 8-12" class. A fair number of 16-17.5" fish too. Not too many keepers. By my count about 6. Pool fish of @ #2.5 was taken with about 5 minutes left in the day.

Jason and I each had about 10-12 shorts each and about 6 sea robins. Conditions were such that we were only to bucktail effectively with a 1 ounce Spro on just 1 drift. We were only able to connect with sea robins (3 for me, 1 for Jason) bouncing the Spro.

Nice day to be on the water. Great effort. At least there was action with the shorts.  t^
