seem someone caught a 190# white shark off Lewes Deleware in the shipping lanes,thought it was a mako.weighted it in now its under investagation,could be a $10,000 fine.costly mistake.seen the same thing happen at the Mid-Atlantic-500,boat brought in a under sized blue marlin that cost him plenty.so before you weigh in make sure what you got.i did'nt know dosen't cut it

The thing is there are ways to guestamate how big a fish is by either weight, to figure out length or lenght to figure out weight.  If you are fishing for certain species that have limits you had better know them or shame on you...

Question, if that shark was caught on a charter boat with say 3 guys and a licensed captain, who would be charged, the person who caught the shark (who might not be aware of its legalization) or the captain of the boat or both, or all on board?

When in doubt blame the Capt.(me no speaka da english :-X)I'd say it's on the Capt.,you're paying him to know the laws

update on that White caught off Del.it will be $30,000.also had no permit.
be careful out there,quite a few White's      been seen.
