LS3 Fluke Report - July 11th - Sandy Hook
« on: July 12, 2009, 09:11:32 AM »
Started out today with Uncle Luna and a friend from work Matt.  Calm seas to the fuel pump turned out to be 5' seas by the time we made it back in.

We moved around from Chapel Hill all the way to the tip of the hook only to make it back to our original spot.

6 keepers for the day, many shorts and not alot of junk fish at all.  All fish pushing the 19-21" mark and very, very fat.

At times with the drift sock out, we were still flying at 3mph.

I did have something huge, thought it was a old rug coming in, no movement and barely making it in, until I felt a slow head shake and lost my hook.. 2nd week in a row for this  5hrug don't know what it was.

All for all, we had to work for our catch.  Back at the dock there was Lab and Bobber who scored in the Tourney with a 9+ lbs fish. Congrats to him and his team.

Picture of our fillets for today.
