Did an open boat and headed out in flat calm at 6:30....went around the hook outside for the last of the outgoing....nice drift....all shorts as usual....lost the drift and headed in a little bit to wait for the tide to swing...i decided to grab my spro rod with a plain killie as a trailer since there was no drift....dropped down and BAM....4lber boatside 23 1/2 inches long....thinkin this is my redemption for the last couple of trips.....got the drift back and put a couple more in the box and a ton of shorts....mostly that magic 17 number again.
saw a guy fishing with mans best friend on board....thought he was gonna go over the transom a few times but he seemed like he could care less!
