7/16 LBI Report
« on: July 17, 2009, 03:37:27 PM »
Fished Thursday , 7/16, with the Bill Minick crew.  One of the worst days of fishing I can remember in a long time.  The bay was stirred up and full of grass.  The clarity of the bay was less than 1 foot.

Moved out to the Little Egg Reef to find uncomfortable 2-4 foot seas with a chop on top.  Water was green and was between 60 and 64 degrees.  Clarity was around 2 feet.  A steady cold SE wind of 15 to 20 was blowing right through your jacket.  Thunderstorms were arouind all morning and led to a muggy haze.  We called the trip early and everyone, including myself, was glad to be back at the dock.  It can't get any worse.

Looking forward to blue water in August.
