Roosters Flukin 7-23
« on: July 23, 2009, 06:35:59 PM »
Persistence pays off, East wind, wind against tide, all small fish in the area we fished just had to stick it out for the payoff. Although I landed the first keeper ten minutes from our slip, it was a slow pick of short Fluke most of this morning. During slack tide we went in to Atlantic Highlands Marina for fuel not wanting to waste time when fish are not feeding. Returning to our little fishing hole when the tide moved with the wind Tom landed his personal best Fluke this season at 24" 6.2# using a Spro with Gulp and a Killie. I had a total of two keepers while Tom had three for a total this morning of five Fluke for the Roosters. There were many crabs, few Sea Robins no yellow eyed demons. Pete       fished on 7-23

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!
