Manasquan Inlet -
« on: September 10, 2009, 06:00:53 PM »
Went up to inlet this morning, unbelieveable waves! the mouth of the inlet looked like a mountain range and waves were breaking over the jetty from the Manasquan side. The bulkhead and memorial in Point Pleasant were under water.
Wind had to be about 30 miles per hour sustained.
Police cleared parking along bulkhead on Point side.

didn't know you needed waders to fish the wall. I stopped by 3rd ave Ortley and the waves were insane. Last hurricane had just brought huge swells, this is just nasty.

Wow.... on a few notes. Wow on the waves and wow on the stupid boater. A more larger wow for me for how many memories that brings back seeing that bulkhead. its where I used to fish with my grandfather when I was a kid. My grandparents had a small cottage right on the boardwalk in Point pleasant and we could walk right to the inlet and fish. Such good memories!! Damn sometimes I wish I was still 10 yrs old...
