Capt.Ron/Fishermen/The Hot Bite continues/Saturday
« on: November 21, 2009, 04:30:16 PM »
Excellant jig fishing once again. Bite lasted all day, every drift with Stripers and Blues. Huge area of fish, especially from the talk I heard on the radio.
Bass are anywhere from shorts to 31 inches with the pool fish normally between 14 and 20 pounds. Many limits again with Danny leading the way with 5 keepers.

My normal fall rant: Please bring tackle that can swing a bluefish...noodle rods with 17 pound test ain't gonna make. We don't mind gaffing the blues IF YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP THEM! Tonight we had 2 barrels of fish left on the boat and this is a discrace. If you don't want them, swing them and toss'em back. No way you should be fishing with 6 oz jigs and 17 pound test anyway, you'll snap more tackle off casting or setting the hook.
If I could seporate the Blues from the bass (as I've said in the past) I would, but that's not happining. So Please come prepaired....Capt.Ron
