Saltwater Sportsman 2010 National Seminar Series
« on: January 18, 2010, 11:52:49 PM »
This year's seminar series will be held in Tinton Falls.  I haven't been to one in a few years, but I may go to this one.  Anyone else interested?

I will probably wait till next year.  They are all about the same with the same people talking about the same self back patting.  It was okay but not year after year.  Enjoy.

I am thinking about going.  Looking for local insight on this area, since this will be my first year fishing out of Jersey.  Will I get local insight from this show?

Maybe, but you may be better off attending the Somerset Fishing Show.  You can sit in on the seminars and pick the brains of a lot of local captains. t^

I will have to play this one by ear...see how things pan out. My son is graduating from the police academy on Friday the day before the seminar and just found out that my daughter will be starting the police academy on Monday two days after the seminar. Will probably have a party for both of them over the weekend. Will have to see if I can fit this in.  TT^

I would defiantly take the advise of Bucktail (did I really say that), on this one. You will get some info at the seminar but I found out it was more of the back patting atta boy stuff going on than anything else.

Congrats Joe on the family following in your footsteps.  Will you have doughnuts at the party?  J/K,

Happy Catching

Since I havent been to  many of the seminars lately, I think Ill be going to this.  But i agree with all of you, once every few years is probably enough for something like this.

Not a bad seminar. Me and BobG just got back.

Nice door prizes. I did not win any (Bob did) but I did pick up some tips for the coming season. Also got some free hats from Sperry topsiders.

Had talks on Offshore trolling, Striped bass - different seasons, tilefishing, Blackfishing, fluking, jigging, trophy stripers and canyon chunking.

It was a nice day out to break the cabin fever for a day or two.  TT^
