Capt Craig The new guy on the block.
« on: February 27, 2007, 06:51:43 PM »
Just thought I would say HELLO to all of you here on NJ Saltwater Fisherman and tell you a little about myself.

I own and operate the charter boat FISH TALE I am also a PE. teacher in Galloway Twp. So in the spring and fall I run my trips on weekends and holidays and once in a while when someone has the fishing bug real bad I make myself available on a weekday.

In the spring, mid April thru May we sail out of UTSCH'S MARINA  Cape May NJ. We fish for Striped Bass & Black Drum up in the Delaware Bay. We are back at UTSCH'S MARINA in the fall mid October thru mid December to fish for Striped Bass. In the fall we fish mostly down on the Cape May Rips but if the chunk bite is good we go up the Delaware Bay and throw some bunker over the side.

In the summer months, June thru mid October. We sail out of home port HARBOUR COVE MARINA SOMERS POINT NJ. At this time of the year we fish for everything from Flounder in the bay to Tuna offshore and all species in between.

When you get a chance check out my web site www.fishtalechartersoc.com

I am looking forward to sharing thoughts and ideas with all of you. Also I'll be posting fishing reports once I get started in mid April.

Lately I have been busy tying hooks and making rigs for the 2007 season. There is always something to do.

So I'll be seeing all of you around NJ Saltwater Fisherman. Looking forward to it.

robsrodnreel, I will do my best to keep your trust. I'll tell you though I can't wait to hang up the sneakers and retire. I got 9 more years. At that point you will not be able to trust me any longer. I will then be an UNTRUSTABLE FULL TIME CHARTER CAPT   ;)

Capt Craig,

Welcome aboard.  I built the various strip mall additions at the Shop Rite in Somers Point this past summer and wondered if there was some good fishing out of the area.  Ill have to look you up if I get back down there again.

hahaha, i didnt mean it like that. it just seems when you talk to straigt up fishing "professionals" you end up getting a bunch of "bs".  somebody who spends their free time running charters or running a fishing related business, its usually about heart, about love. to me, there is nobody id rather give my money and most of all, respect too.

p.s. i dont mean any disrespect to "fishing professionals"  some of you are sort of ok ;D ;D ;D

I hear ya Rob's Rod n Reel. I love what I do. Its good stuff. Taking people out and showing them things they may not know or be aware of. Helping them be better anglers. Just having good conversation and exposing my group to some good fun on the water. Don't get me wrong, catching fish is a very good thing and putting fish in the box is better. Its the hole enchilada
