Great learning Session
« on: March 23, 2010, 01:12:02 AM »
If you ever get a chance to take a seminar by Alberto Knie.  Do not put it off, sign up without hesitation.

Not only will you learn about casting but in most cases you will learn how, when and where to catch that big cow.

Without going into details I had the opportunity to take such a class by "Crazy" Alberto and this angler was impressed.  I have been fishing for over 50 years and I thought I knew quite a bet but Alberto Knie did teach me a bunch of new tactics to try this year.  So look out everyone when I hit the beach leave me alone I'm busy...inside joke.

His casting ability was fantastic and I have a few things I will be trying this year.  It is all about relaxing and letting your equipment do the work.

Set up your reel the right way and you will be hitting that outer bar before you know it.  On his second cast of the seminar he spooled the reel.  But not only did he spool the reel but the sinker landed in a tree over 175 yards down range just a few yards from parked cars.  If you look at the last picture you will notice the line as it makes its way up to the tree.

I hope all these pictures help in some way if not take a seminar by him and I guarantee you can not help but improve your casting ability.

Happy Catching

Paul

Great info Paul and nice pics!  Have you checked out his FB?

He does put on a great seminar!  He is full of knowledge and always up to date.  He is a "sharpie" both in saltwater and freshwater.  It is nice to see someone who has so much passion for fishing, make their livelihood from it and teach others and try and instill that same passion!  He does a good job at it...  He is also an awesome photographer and has some great fishing pics.

Yeah, we bumped into each other down in Washington at the rally.  Type A personality for sure, but he has some great information if you are willing to listen to what he is saying.  His time schedule is all around May and June, September and October's New Moon at night for the BIG COWS.

I got an opportunity to see and listen to Crazy Alberto at Brookdale a few weeks ago at Surfday and the admission cost was worth it for his talk alone (and there were other talks that rivaled his!).  Now if I only could only catch some of the cows that are out there..  <dreaming..>

His demo was the one thing I really wanted to see.  Sorry I missed it.
I'll pick up the lesson second hand from you on the sand this year. TT^
