Fish the Drop Off report 5/14 to 5/16

5/14/10
Chris Gadd and Jack Walters joined Mate Zach Ruba on an open boat trip in search of stripers.  Stripers did not show but what did show was a Drum that was weighed in at the Chum bucket and tipped the scales at 64 pounds. The drum was followed by blues to 10 pounds and shark to three feet. Many of the blues were let go but Jack did take 9 home for friends.

Today we had the O’Neil party on for another day of Blues and sharks. Set up in the same area and it was game from when the first clam hit the water.  There 12 year old son had a ball with all the blues and sharks.  They brought back to the dock 17 blues with the largest one to be about 7 pounds.

We not much to say about this one.  Had Mike Kreammer and father for a day looking of the striped ones.  Made the turn in the inlet and headed up the beach looking for bunker.  Had alot of nice marks but they were deep down.  Trolled some stretch 25’s and had no takers.  Since the bunker was not on top made our way back to the inlet to set up for the out going tide.  Needles to say it was a slow day had several sharks and only three blues to the boat.  The blues made there way to the dock and that was it for the day.

You can say that again.  A friend had 5 that night and one was 66 pounds.  I will get pic up on my site Monday of the fish.
