Hunter 2- Spooning with Cashin last night
« on: May 18, 2010, 11:28:28 AM »
After cleaning all the Bluefish and the two Striper's from the morning trip I spoke to Chris (Cashin) and we made a quick decision to go out for a few hours. We pulled out of Keyport around 7PM and head south. Back on the same grounds, we set out the Tony Maja spoons in the lucky, and formally Irish Ayes outrodders (Thanks Joe). A few minutes pass and ZZZZZZZZ!! The port rod screams!
Chris grabs the rod and I clear the other. It was a nice fight with the fish peeling line from time to time. Up comes a nice 39" fish in the net. t^  We repeated the same track a couple of times and we pull in another 35" Striper. When the sun went down the bite died so we head for the keyport area and played with the blues for a couple of hours. The water was very calm and the water temp was up around 64 deg in the back shallow areas. It was a fun night and Chris likes spooning in the evening. :P :-* :-*
  Good Luck,, Eddie
