Irish Ayes bassing 5-22-10
« on: May 22, 2010, 06:53:22 PM »
Had Johnny Oz, fishon42 Mark and Mark's friend Vic on board today for a day of striper fishing.

Left the SR Inlet and went two miles south where we found some bunker to snag. Filled the portable live well and the search was on for some bass.

Motored over to some structure that has held bass before and found some in residence today.

We landed eight bass and kept seven. Had no less than two dozen run offs where we didn't get a hook into the bass.

Vic caught his first bass ever today, among others, with his first bass being a thirty pound fish. Mark got his personal best with a thirty two pounder.

Great day on the water with some fine company.  t^

Mark and Vic waiting for the big one to arrive.

Tail end of a bunker school going under the boat. The whole screen would have been lite up if I was quicker in getting the camera.  ;D

Vic with his biggie.

The boys with their big ones.

Todays catch.

What a day Joe! Beautiful weather, calm water and plenty of excitement! I personally started out like last week missing my first 8 fish. I kept forgetting NOT to set the hook with the circle hooks.  rgmn

Few beers helped me stay calm  chrz

But Thanks again Joe, was a great time fishing with you and your buddy Jon, who is a great guy as well!
