Took my 10 year old son and my friend on a fishing trip, my son(Justin) hadnt caught stripers yet to date and my friend(Al) hasnt fished in may years and had only fluke fished, I wanted to beat my 27pound mark,, and get them 2 on theyr first fish
Arrived a bit early Captain Joe was there, after a few we headed out, Joe knew the other 2 had never caught a striper and he said he was gonna hook up my son first and that he did,
First fish on the boat was reeled by Justin whille I held the rod for him, well firts fish in the boat was also the biggest at 36.11 pounds not too shabby for a 10 year olds first stripper
then we had about 5 runs and lost them moved a few times and cought fish at every spot the Captain stopped at, we ended up with a full boat limit and headed in early with the fish still bitting, it was getting nasty out there with some nice rollers, and with a kid on board we decided not to play catch and release and head on in

Highlights of the day
1- Both me and my son hooked up at same time,me with light tackle i was snagging bunker and a bass hit it whille reeling the bunker in(twice i got a bass like tht)
2- We got to see a whale out there
3- The smile thats still on his face
