YSA workin' the bay 6/4 & 6/5
« on: June 05, 2010, 11:24:40 PM »
With all the non-fishing stuff going on lately, have to sneak out when we can. We rushed out last nite after work to try to find some warm water/dropoffs/tasty flatfish close by. Due to NOAA's impending t-storms and Christine's angst about them, hit a few local spots from 1830 till just after dusk with no takers. Nice nite out there with a slight breeze and calm conditions. No T-storms to speak of. Amazing that after even a short, clean trip still din't get home til after 2300.

Today it's up at ohdarkthirty to head down to troubleshoot my tenant's nonfunct central A/C and demolish an old 16 x 25 greenhouse on the property before heading to a wholly first Communion on Stagnant Island. Got all that done, rush back down to the boat with same plan as last nite + stripers if available. Well drifting was better but the bite remained nonexistent. Waited til dusk put out the trollin gear and played with blues for awhile on the way back. No stripes but did not try very hard or long. Blues ranged from 2lb to 10+ and were gorged on spearing, but still couldn't resist a tasty stretch25 schwimmer trolled just off the reach channel edge at 3.7kts.

More fun stuff planned for tomorrow  nosmly  I'll be lucky if I can make it out for a few hours, but gonna try.

Maybe I'll call in sick on Monday..... Hmmmmmmmmm

Catch em up and be safe out there...

Nice trips Warren. The blues are a day saver. It is good to just get out on the water. t^
