Cock Robin- 5 1/2 Trip Recap Report
« on: June 14, 2010, 08:02:14 PM »
Friday- Day- SUPER LITE crowd enjoyed bluefish on bait and jig all day long.

Friday Night- GREAT crowd, with many local military aboard.  Captain Rich Falcone returned to put the anglers on  Bluefish eager to take bait.  Weird wind/ tide created trouble on the hook in the last hour.  Drifted the last hour however the bite never returned.

Saturday Day- looking to repeat Fridays trip, anglers boarded early and off we went.  Setting up for the drift most anglers decided to continue w/ bait as the method of choice.  a slow pick developed and a challenge between the bow, stern, port and starboard side was made as to where the pool fish would be caught.  Without the aid of replay, it seems the bow won the bet, however a cry of "foul" was heard from the starboard side as the fish was GAFFED below the starboard forward bit.......

Saturday Night- we lit up and waited for the night owls only to have a handful of takers.   We moved the folks to another local boat who had good fishing during the night

Sunday- BEAUTIFUL day and calm seas (i know, we did have some feeling a little green) but it was a great day on the water.  Fishing improved early and a lack of wind and current shut us down around noon.  Fortunately most had more than enough fillets.

Monday Day- a quick shot of fish immediately and then it was over. Not sure what happened yet but we have to keep the truth in truthful reporting.
