Anything you can share on jigs used, color, wieght etc.

I can answer on the jigs Jeff.  The Shimano butterflies, ProFish jigs, and those similar to them were not getting bit.  Almost all the bites were on jigs that had more flutter to them.  The "Jager" type jig was hot (about 100 grams). The one Rod had which had a wider profile than the standard butterflies also worked well (obviously). ;D

Outstanding job there Rod & Crew!  Great pics, post and Sushi t^ chrz slt  I echo Paul-e How'd the PA handle the haul. Curious on fuel burn, # hrs to destination, return. Anything you can share on jigs used, color, weight etc.

We ran about 75 Miles NE..  The boat being the make it is.. did ok..  I did pretty good in the following see with about 18-20 Knots on the way out.

On the way home a 2-3 foot head see kept me to 15 Knots for about 10 miles..

We had 50 miles of flat calm seas on the  where I was near W.O.T

Then inshore the last 18 miles was a little sloppy..

Left BI 4:30.  Lines in at 8ish..  Headed for home at 2:30 back in BI around 6:30
So we fished for 6.5 hours t^

OK.  sit down boys.... ;D

I ran 202.8 Miles and burned 75-85 gallons  t^

For my jig.. You really need all of them.. and everyone needs to be using different ones.. when my blue yellow white hit.  they all changed up to something like it.  and it worked.

using Butterfly Jigs.. we needed to use them correctly.  if we were just jigging it.. nothing...  when pumped and jigged.  it was fish on.   one point Bob was making fun of my jigging technique. and as he just finished the sentence... it was fish on..   rofla

Now I will be looking for my weather window every week or so.. ;D

All I can say is WOW guys...Rod, way to go guy.  Keep it up and you will need your captains license as people will be lining up to be on your boat.

Great job to all involved for the long trip and a safe return.  The fish are all the bonus to take the hurting mussels and the tiredness away.  You guys rock... clp

Happy Catching

Now I will be looking for my weather window every week or so..

Once bitten twice shy

I know what you mean by "I'm selling my fluke gear"
I dumped all but two of my cod rods after the tuna bug bit me...LOL
I cut back on all my other gear as well...

Now it's the only thing I look foreward to..
Pure adrenaline

Thanks for the additional info about fuel etc all good stuff
