I have seen several pics of boats beached at the tip of the hook this year and last. Can't go by your chart plotter because,as Warren pointed out, the sand shifts every day.

Not a pretty picture to look at.  :P

i never understood why people try to short cut the channel at the tip and around the hook at night...just to shave 5 minutes off steaming through the channel?  nosmly

Wow that is not fun.
I have been on a few charters over the years with Capt. Mike Scardigno and he is a great guy.
A little history....he told me that Capt. Al Hilliard threatened his if he missed the net on Capt. Al's record catch 61.75 striper when he was a mate on the Prowler in 1975.
