Which lure? 5hrug

I know that a "stretch 25" with 50' Powerpro will swim at about 20' to 25' at about 3 MPH

whs  If you notice they mention, "Add 1-2 ft for  heavy lure (eg Tony 21) and subtract 1 ft for a light lure (eg Hose)."

A Tony 21 is a bunker spoon and a "Hose" is a tube lure.

I think he spent some time in 4 bars drinking before he came up with the 50' numbers, and hit 8 bars before the 100's.

I was taught that the main purpose of lead core or wire lines was to sink a certain of depth per 100' of line out? 100' of wire line should run twice as deep as 50' for a given lure and speed?

Not necessarily true for mono or braid.
Also, 30# wire sounds way too light, it's been awhile but I think we used to pull 75# wire...
