Prayers needed for a fellow fishermen
« on: May 21, 2007, 10:51:38 PM »
Hey Everyone,
For those of you who don't know, Our friend, my friend,  Mark, a former mate on the Norma K III, and a frequent fisherman on the Angela Rose, was one of the crewmen on the Mary James. Mary James went down Sunday night. One found dead and one is still mising with the vessel. We don't know if Mark was the one who was found or not. We will find out tomorrow.
Please join me and pray for his family and the family for the other crewmen.
This one is for you Mark...
ANGELA ROSE DID IT AGAIN!!!!!

Prayers sent, Capt Anthony.  Let's hope for the best for the second fisherman.

Hi All,

Latest news update from the Asbury Park Press can be found at the following link:

http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070522/NEWS/70522032

They have provided some names:

"Merele Rubert, Smithville, was found deceased 33 miles off the Manasquan Inlet late Sunday night by Coast Guard vessels responding to a Mayday call from the boat.

Still missing is Mark Dreyton, from Morristown, the second crewmember on the boat. Both men were in their 40s, and were experienced fishermen, according to a family member of Dreyton's."

Our prayers go out for them and their family and friends!

Capt. Ed

The app nailed it right on the head. I am going to stop down at Station Manasquan Inlet tomorrow sometime and have a talk with a few buddies. See if I can get something out of them.
Thanks guys for the prayers. I am waiting to hear funeral arangments. I will pass them along.
 Talk with ya guys soon.
Anthony

I stopped down at Station Manasquan Inlet (today the 26th) and talked with a couple buddies and I am sorry to say that there is no sign of Mark or the boat. I heard Jim Elliot (boat owner) has hired a survey vessel to try and locate the boat. Thats the last I heard.

I hope that he is down in Mexico drinking a couple of drinks out on a beach with a couple of girls.

He deserved nothing less...
