What site said you do not have to register?

I know that PA now has a no fee registry. Check with their fish and game or whatever they call their agency that deals with these issues.

If you have a Salt Water Lic or are Registerted in a Salt Water Data base in a coast state, you do not need to register with NOAA. If you do not have the above you need to Register with NOAA.

If you fish from a Party/Charter Boat you need not register as the boat is registered.

Hope it helps

I'd like to inform you guys of something regarding what the penalties are for not registering. I know there has been great debate on the penalty i.e. what they are or are not and if a penalty even exists since there is no state program in place at the current time.

Well, someone I know recently received a "Fish and Wildlife" summons for not having his card. This is the same hunters get for being jackasses out in the woods. If you receive 3 of them they pull your hunting and/or Fishing license.....just to let you all know.

true...but they mean freshwater and hunting licenses....so if you don't do either then would you even care?? maybe / maybe not.

Go online and register with Maine as an out of state fisherman. I think it is about a $2-5 fee.  TT^

I registered for the hell of it , besides if they called me....."Hello?" Yeah is this the Bait Waster? ...ah yeah? What did you catch all last season sir? Now that there is not only funny, but might even be worth the $15..just for the shits and giggles!!!..."we are just really bored, curious and can't find real jobs!!!! so they pay us "not to ask what you caught on your trip out" By the way the fee will prolly be $30 next year. Have a nice night. rofla
