Phyllis Ann Barnegat Bass to 40#s

Met Bob and Greg at the dock @ 0500.
Broke the inlet to a dense fog..  headed south along the beach. Stopped on our first set of marks..  Had one great hook up on a White BKD  only to have her pull the hook.  Made our way south stopping on Bait with no fish on them..

Found some bait tight to the beach around 7:am. and it was game on..  I had the first run-off only to again have the hook pull.  Bob and Greg Followed with 2 nice 30 lber in the boat..

Spend the rest of the morning chasing bait.  With Nothing to show for it.  Decided to leave the fleet and head North..  Got about 3 Miles into are run and came across more bait.  Drop snag and Fishon for Rod.. as the skies opened up and my crew filming and all ran for cover.  I was left alone in a driving rain ;D  In the Boat my first fish for the day @ 25Lbs.

At this point we were basically alone..  find the bait.. Snag and Fish On.. 

Total for the day was 10 Fish.  from 25#+ 30# and 1 40#..
My personal Best was the 1 40# Fish t^

Left the bass Biting to run from an incoming Storm t^ 



Took a lot of Cool video..

Awesome day!  Funny thing about Rod's first catch today.  As soon as he hooked up it started raining, and as he fought the fish it rain harder and harder.  Then the hail started.  It stormed like that until the fish was landed.  Then, almost magically, it was like someone threw a switch. The skies cleared and the sun came out.  Were the fish gods trying to tell us something?   ;D

Every fish caught was on the live bunker today.  I threw poppers, swimmers, plastic swim baits, bucktails, butterfly jigs, RonZs and more, but could not buy a bite on an artificial.

It was great fun fishing with Rod and Greg.  As always, thanks for having me aboard Rod! t^
