No, we got down right after the storm and was back in early enough to miss the afternoon showers.

Spent today (Sunday)exploring the Mullica. Had a great day with white perch. Filled a decent size cooler. We also landed 5 stripers all in the 20 to 24 inch range. It was so much fun fightening them on very light tackle. I cannot wait till the big ones are here. I heard there was a big bass caught of LBI today.

The new boat has a new home at Great Bay Marina.

I had a house in Mstic Islands for 30 years but it's gone now. I have fished that bay for a long time. It won't be long before it busts wide open. t^

My buddy and I have been up in some shallow areas (3 or 4ft) of the Mullica and having a blast catching rats on light tackle. Tried the sod banks yesterday for a few hours on the incoming tide and not a tog bite to be had.

Gonna head out this afternoon and see if we can get some Stripers. Hopefully we will have something favorable to report.

Tried for some Stripers wednesday in LEI but gave up after a few hours...water is still to warm it seems.

Hit the sod banks for some Tog and we picked up our limit of three in about one hour. Most were shorts but we did manage some in the 14, 15 and 16 inch range

I can't help you much with trolling spoons. We only did it a few times, but it was with braid, and was not successful. We mostly jigged and were on the hook with clam.

Yesterday (Wed) we were on the hook in LEI at 530pm and stayed till 1030pm and nothing to report. A smart person would have went back in and headed to the Tuckerton Grille for their burger special. :)   gonna try again Saturday with a 1000 other boats.

It's going to blow 15-25 out of the NE. There will not be that many boats to contend with. Plus it is going to rain w/ a chance of thunder storms.

I was out before the blow today and we got 1 21lb fish before we headed in early.
This too shall pass.

I've been in the marina working all week and have seen some nice keeper bass brought in.
I heard the Mullica was the spot, on eels.

Fished the LEI white water in my friends boat today. Four in the box, 34 to 40 inches, and lost five. Great to be on the Stripers again.

Rick, were you out there on Sunday when that Steigercraft flipped? Reading about that and the boat that went down in Del Bay last Friday has me wear my PFD in that damn white water.
