NETKEEPER - Sat 8/20 Our best fluke trip of the season
« on: August 22, 2011, 07:25:16 PM »
On Saturday 8/20 hosted George, Hollywood Mike, Joe (Joe987654321) & Jimmy for an Open Boat Trip. This trip saw Dom's return from his Maritime Cruise too. Started off in the Channels with 5 keepers and a bunch of shorts. Didn't like the light coffee water so we went searching for clean water and about 30 minutes later found what I was looking for. Amazing transitions of Brown to Green to Blue water along the way. Picked another 6 keepers where we stopped and then it died off. Made a short move to a nearby spot and finished the day there adding another 26 keepers to the box including our largest fish of the day, Jimmy's 7.5lber (on boga 30). Around 1:30 the bite turned on real good for us with one drift good for 10 quality keepers and some near miss 17" fish. We probably caught over 100 Fluke today with a total tally of 37 Fluke making it to the filet table accompanied by 1 lonely Sea Bass. Always a fun time with George, Mike and Joe onboard and Jimmy complimented the mix. Add the typical joking, ball busting and roasting on top of the fishing and it made for a great day as well as our best Fluke fishing trip of the season thus far.

We also caught, ALS tagged and released this Fluke with it's white side, yes white side mainly brown. Its almost a complete 2 brown sided Fluke.

Please email me at captalan@netkeeperfishing.com if you would like to be added to our open boat trip list.
